Things I Bring Up In Conversation

I am a novelty seeking person. These are flippant topics which are appropriate for pauses in conversation while having lunch with a friend and the "catching up" is depleted. Pictures, links, and musings mostly.

For instance…
The first CDs I bought with my own pocket money (British saying for allowance… thanks parents) were TLC's CrazySexyCool and Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill. The first CD's I asked for Xmas years before that were Phil Collins' band Genesis' We Can't Dance and Aerosmith's Greatist Hits.

  1. "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

  9. John Boehner majority leader of the Senate

I know it is pronounced “Bayner” but I still read it in my head as “Boner.” Not bc of attraction but bc I’m immature… and bc he is getting his comeuppance.
